Our mission is to deliver personalized orthodontic care at the highest standard of excellence, with a compassionate, family-like experience for every patient. We exist to create authentic, healthy smiles while strengthening our community through genuine care, expertise, and trust.

Dr. Tom Hoopes

Dr. Hoopes was born and raised in the Boston area. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia before moving to New York City where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University.

Dr. Hoopes enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to leave the cold winters of the Northeast and moved to the Triangle to complete his specialty training in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also earned his Master of Science degree. Dr. Hoopes obtained his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontists.

Dr. Hoopes is married to Dr. Cher Hoopes, an endodontist in the Triangle, whom he met in dental school. They live in Durham with their newborn son and their dog, Sawyer. Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Hoopes loves exploring the beautiful hiking trails in North Carolina, watching Formula 1 racing, and rooting for his Boston sports teams.
